^^^ I totally agree with Woore .... I'm using a NTFS USB 2.0 Western Digital External HDD with external power ... it works great.

It does not work ( Atleast not for me ) , It will boot the PS3 but the ODE will error when trying to run.... I tested this myself on a Phat PS3.
