\r\n ok I am at my wits end with this fucking piece of shit, it is a sony vaio laptop its not that old its an intel i3 350 with 4 gb of ram and 500gb hdd running win 7 64 bit , worked fine when I 1st got it and for awhile after, \n \n then the hdd got full and I got some msg about windows altering the page file or some shit , \n \n then after that it became totally unuseable ,the fucking hdd clicks incessantly 24 fucking 7 , if you so much as try to move the pointer a cunt hair the HDD goes shit house and clicks like a mother fucker and it freezes and slows down to the point of being unuseable, no matter what you do it slows to the point of not being useable,and the fucking HDD never stops clicking \n \nI really don\'t have money to buy a new, OC and id ont want another one either, seems ever OS MS makes is a fucking piece of shit ,this has win7 home premium even when it worked good at 1st it still had some annoying bugs, taskbar cant be minimized to not show like in previous versions of windows and autohide never works either ,which make its abnoxious as fuck to use , I never used any other version of 7 so I don\'t know if there is a better one ,but I certainly don\'t want win 8 and all the new laptops have it preinstalled \n \n \n so I cleared 50gb of free space on the c drive , then set it to let windows manage the page file and defragged the drive several times \n \nthe fucking thing still runs like complete shit, \n \n nothing is running and when I try to open any browser it crashes or almost crashes IE, chrome, FF, safari, \n \n when the browser does open and doesn\'t crash and I open resource monitor i see that over 90% of physical memory is being used WTF??? \n \n ,just with say a browser and 2 tabs open, \n \n when I first got this POS it worked fine with 3 browsers open and 100 tabs open in each of them, \n \n \n I ran the AV and malware bytes it finds nothing, \n \n there are no other programs running that I know of,nothing showing in task manager just POS nortons I think is running ,but doesn\'t show in task manager , \n \nI know Norton AV is a POS but i never had these problems before and it was on here then too , \n \nI tried to set different custom parmeters for the page file but nothing makes it work even close to useable , \n \n there seems to be no consensus on what to set the page file to , some say to disable it some say to make it huge , and everything in between WTF? cant anyone come to a consensus on what the settings should be? \n \n if not then why?, and could it be something else besides the page file? \n \n seems strange that ever since I got the msg from windows saying it changed something in the page file that these problems all started \n \n I don\'t know if its worth it to try and fix it and upgrade the ram, cause the keyboard is broke too and its 50 bucks for a new one, like 10 letters don\'t work ,the rest, do (sony is fucking garbage) I have to use a BT KB and for some reason it unsyncs every other sentence I type and I have to wait 5 min for it to work again , its all fucked up, maybe I should just toss this fucking piece of shit in the bin and buy another one cause I fucking give up at his point\r\n

\r\n nope never I took really good care of it , always had it in the same place on the AC , one day the keyboard just shit the bed and half the keys stopped working ,its only a couple years old ,it came with a BR drive and everything and has been well cared for physically ,never dropped , seems like everything I get with MS OS just fucking goes to shit like its programmed to break or something, every PC I ever have becomes unuseable after a year or two and I end up having to toss it or not use it , their software is total fucking garbage \n \nbut then again there is a fuck ton of proprietary sony software on here that I have no fuckng clue what it is or what it does ,probably has root kits out the fucking ass knowing POS sony \nbut they would never tell me what all this installed sony shit was ,when I called the tech support when I still had it,it sucked like all of it does, nobody speaks English and all they know how to do is read from a script and tell you to restore everything, \nI don\'t know what it is or I would just remove all the sony shit on here\r\n

Just get a Windows 7 iso, burn it to disc and boot from CD. Format the drive before install (Advanced drive options) and away you go. Doubt it will solve the keyboard issues but may solve your other issues. \n \nIf that doesn\'t work, replace the hard drive and repeat.\r\n

Dude, relax. Just do a reinstall of Windows 7. \n \nAlso if your hdd is clicking that loudly, that is likely the cause of your issue. Audible clicking noises coming from a hdd is not normal behavior.\r\n
\r\n yeah I was kinda hoping to avoid doing that, that is a last resort, last time it took days and I didn\'t even have as much on here as I do now, I mean there is no way to reinstall win without formatting the HDD, that means I have to buy another HDD to back everything up , what hg pain in the ass, \nalso I know nothing about win 7 sio, so you mean get a cracked version from a torrent or something, and it will still do updates , I never pirated any MS OS since xp \n \nI was hoping there was some setting I could change (page file setting or something) or a scan I could do and not have to reinstall reformat the HDD ,that\'s the same advice shitty tech support gives all the time cause MS makes their shit so complicated and proprietary that nobody can ever figure out whats wrong with it or how to fix it short of a reinstall , which fucking sucks, especially when you only have 1 PC that works \n \nyeah the KB on the laptop is physically broken I think but its easy to replace, the other BT KB issue will clear I am 100% sure its cause of this HDD shit ,\r\n
